BlackVue App Update – Coming Soon!

A new BlackVue app update is coming! In early April 2025, the BlackVue app will be receiving an overhaul to improve user experience, playback of footage, retrieval of footage and general app ease of access. This update will include several new features as well as redesigns of existing features to make the app faster to review footage and easier to navigate.
What does this mean for Australian users?
Users in Australia will be pleased to see changes that allow you to access your camera’s Playback and Live-view from the first home screen, making it easier to install your camera and download important videos when they occur. There are a number of quality-of-life upgrades too that now allow you to more easily filter by video types and dates when you review your footage for important events, show when you’ve already watched a video, and more.
The app previously had several different pages and buttons required to access various features, but these new improvements now make using the app much more seamless by relocating these features to be accessible from the very first screen after your camera is added. An account is now needed to be created or logged into to view your camera via the BlackVue app, the camera can then be added via seamless pairing or direct wi-fi connection and from there you can more easily connect and make full use of your camera’s premium features with the newly improved app.
The steps required to connect to your camera or add it for the first time have also been reduced so it’s easier to add cameras to the app, review video clips, download videos, pair a BlackVue battery pack, or add the camera to the cloud. When you first add a camera, you will need an internet connection on your mobile phone which then adds and saves the camera to your account for ease of access any time you log-in and enables the use of an offline mode even if there isn’t internet available later when you have to retrieve any important footage.

The new Camera Card interface lets you access all of the most important features from the Cameras tab.
